We had a wonderful vacation in July 2004 in Glacier National Park, Montana. We enjoyed the pleasure of the company of the Pojes - Jim and Sandy, Nadine, Sally and John + Grandfolks Mary and Warren. The Johnsons - Andrew and Penny, Lizzie, Alice and Angus.

We travelled by train from San Jose to East Glacier Park, Montana - 2 nights and 1 day. We stayed for 3 nights in Many Glacier Hotel, 3 nights in Apgar Village and 2 nights at Sperry Chalet.

One of the best holidays we've ever had - thanks guys for your splendid company.


In the morning the ladies went shopping for food and stuff and that took the morning. We had a quick lunch and then a long afternoon walk - 7 hours to Grinnel Glacier. The Ladies and children got the boat for the first couple of miles. Penny, Jim and Robin walked because the boat was full. So 12 miles round trip and 1700 foot climb. Angus didn't like the waterfall we had to walk through - Robin and him got totally drenched in freezing cold water walking through it. We dried off however - it was a nice pleasant day. Didn't get back til 8 in the evening - time for a BBQ to finish a very nice day.
