We had a wonderful vacation in July 2004 in Glacier National Park, Montana. We enjoyed the pleasure of the company of the Pojes - Jim and Sandy, Nadine, Sally and John + Grandfolks Mary and Warren. The Johnsons - Andrew and Penny, Lizzie, Alice and Angus.

We travelled by train from San Jose to East Glacier Park, Montana - 2 nights and 1 day. We stayed for 3 nights in Many Glacier Hotel, 3 nights in Apgar Village and 2 nights at Sperry Chalet.

One of the best holidays we've ever had - thanks guys for your splendid company.

Today was a travelling day. We drove from Many Glacier Hotel to Apgar and West Glacier. We had lunch in St Mary and stopped at the visitor centre at the top of Logan Pass. The weather is East Glacier was cold and windy - after three very nice days. We were jolly pleased to arrive in West Glacier to nice warm weather.

One of the remarkable things in Many Glacier was that Laura Bush, the First Lady was staying in the same hotel - only a few rooms away. Although we didn't see her, most of our group were surprised when she showed for dinner on Saturday night. She was on vacation with school chums. They ate pie at the same lunch place as us - however the day before. They gave her a free pie and tee shirt. I had a pay for mine!
