We had a wonderful vacation in July 2004 in Glacier National Park, Montana. We enjoyed the pleasure of the company of the Pojes - Jim and Sandy, Nadine, Sally and John + Grandfolks Mary and Warren. The Johnsons - Andrew and Penny, Lizzie, Alice and Angus.

We travelled by train from San Jose to East Glacier Park, Montana - 2 nights and 1 day. We stayed for 3 nights in Many Glacier Hotel, 3 nights in Apgar Village and 2 nights at Sperry Chalet.

One of the best holidays we've ever had - thanks guys for your splendid company.


We travelled by train from San Jose, Oregon to Porland, Oregon on the Coast Starlight. Then on the Empire Builder up Columbia River Gorge, across Idaho and through the Rockies to Glacier. 36 hours - 2 night and loads of Champagne. Things however didn't work out so well. The train was 1 hour late in San Jose and proceeded to get later. So they put us on a bus in Eugene, Oregon and drove us more than 325 miles to Pascoe, Washington. A long hot afternoon and evening on the bus. Next morning however the train rolled through the Rockies - just unforgettable. Highly recommended and good value. For $700 we had good sleeper accomodation for 2 nights, all our meals and transportation. Best of all was the great company of our wonderful friends. Thanks, guys we love you all.
