UK Visit May 2004 (5 of 7) :

Ali and I went for a walk around the Island of Cumbrae - which lies just off Largs. It's only a 7 minute ferry crossing and you feel in another world. It's 10.25 miles around the Island and we did some detours to do a little bit of hill walking. And of course we walked down to Largs and back for the ferry. So all in all, about 15 mile walk. When we got back to Largs we had dinner in Flannigan's in Gallowgate Square. I'm sure this is the first time I've ever eat a meal outdoors in Largs! The weather was perfect.
