Getting to Iceland - August 10, 2005

Stopover in Iceland (1 of 4) :

After all the excitement of the wedding, it was time to return to the USA. We booked a three day stopover in Iceland - because we've never been there. It was really good - we really enjoyed it.

Colin and Sue drove us up to Heathrow Airport and we flew with Icelandair to Reykjavic. When we arrived there, we went for a walk into the city to explore. We visited the harbour, the city centre and the cathedral. The weather was about what you might expect in the arctic summer - cool and damp.
