San Jose Mercury 10K Run - April 10, 2005

We had a really nice Sunday morning at the San Jose Mercury News 10k Run. Penny and I ran and were both delighted to have improved more than 1 minute from last year. Penny's time was 47'49" (49'11" last year) and Robin's 49'28" (50' 35"). Our friend Jean Pommier won the Masters and was third overall in 34'11". So Jean received 4 medals and a prize - well done Jean you're a really good athlete. Dennis came along to cheer us over the line. Thanks for coming, Dennis. Free food was provided after the race in the Discovery Meadow, and a school band entertained the crowd of several thousand. It was a beautiful dry spring morning.
