Trophies And Grave - May 21, 2005

Tour of Southern States (7 of 9) :

Elvis Presley was the most successful singer who has ever lived. He has sold 1billion albums world wide. He had 30 No1 Hit Singles, 139 Billboard Charted Singles. He broke all records in his live performances. Additionally we was always generous to his friends and community. He was drafted and willingly served his country as a GI in Germany. He was a really great guy.

Elvis died of a heart attack at the age of 42. I remember the day in 1977 very well. The world seemed a smaller place the day after he died. Although I read stories about drug abuse - reliable contemporary reports of his death deny these allegations. His death is simply a tragedy. As for the stories that he's still alive, in a way he is. You only need to look at the crowds of fans to see that the King will never be forgotten.
