Our next door neighbours in England for 20 years came to visit us in California. We had a very nice time, although the weather was poor. On the Saturday, the weather was quite nice, so the photographs don't tell the story. They had the misfortune to arrive in California during a record breaking wet spell. March was the wettist month every recorded in San Jose with 24 wet days. More that 2 inches of rain fell on April 2 and 3. That's more rain than we'd expect in a wet winter month! The annual rainfall is 15 inches. Anyway it was very nice to see them and show them some sights. We visited the giant redwood trees at Big Basin, the seaside at Santa Cruz and the Mission at San Juan Bautista. And of course we had a couple of dinners and a good chat about things. We're looking forward to their son Neil's wedding to Natalie in September. This will take place in Guernsey in the Channel Islands. They'll be lots more photographs for that occasion. And of course we hope for perfect weather. Lightbox click here - 800k download | ||
