I've personally found those photographs very interesting indeed. They arrived as a PDF in the office and I don't know their origin. Here's a link to the PDF : PDF - 5Mbytes. Of course the PDF has better resolution images. Anyway, I've organized them into 2 ups for easier comparison of development in San Jose during 30 years. Its interesting to see how much some parts of the city have changed. Cesar Chavez Square and the Fairmont Hotel Area are unrecognisable now and then. Other areas such as the SOFA district (South First Area) are almost untouched. And of course there will be parts of the city which the photographer didn't visit in 1975 which are now significant and interesting. I'm especially thinking about the area around and Adobe and the Arena. I believe that was derelict land 30 years ago. Today, it's worth $10m/acre. | ||
