Elvira and Charles Reception

Our running buddies Elvira and Charles were married on April 23, 2008. The Wedding was a family affair and took place in a Lodge in Yosemite Valley. A very romantic and special setting. I'm sure it was beautiful.

To celebrate their marriage, they had a reception at Picchetti Winery in Stevens Creek Canyon. Everybody in Striders knows this place because we run past it most weeks on the Saturday club run.

So it was really nice to visit the Winery. All our buddies had own on clothes! And they all showered after the morning run. And the catering was conducted by Janine - who catered for Alan and Jen's reception when they were married 3 years ago. Janine had also done the catering for the Striders Holiday Party during the last couple of years. I always enjoy wearing my kilt. As Elvira's family are from Germany and Canada, I guess men in skirts are a rare sight. Ernst didn't wear his leatherhosen. What a disappointment (not)!
