Jim's Birthday - October 26, 2008

Jim was 49 this week (for the first and last time). Being a '49er' in California conjures up images of smell old gold miners with beards and dirty trousers. Or the losers on the San Francisco NFL team. Or, maybe Jim. Spot the difference?

Anyway, Jim had been running in the Silicon Valley Half Marathon in the morning and had lunch with everybody before heading home for a little nap on the couch. Guess what? A surprise birthday party with all the usual crew. Happy Birthday, Jim. And thank Sandy for all the hard work in the kitchen. Very enjoyable as always.

Jim did well in the Half Marathon. 1:50. He'd have done a lot better, if he hadn't run with me for the first three miles! Photos from the marathon: click here.
