Summer Vacation 2008 (1 of 19) :

First day of our holidays. Miwok 100k. One of my favorite events. However there were only a couple of Striders in the event this year - Jean and Noel. Penny decided not to run - so I had nobody to pace. Ali and I worked on the aid station at Pan Toll. It was good to see Mariana back again this year from Colorado. And Jean did brilliantly. 9hr 40min finish. Amazing really. It's hard to believe that the winner set a new course record of 7hr 50min - 7:30 pace over the demanding hills of the Marin Headlands. We were really proud of Jean. Great Job.

And of course we had a little chat to Tia - the race director. One of my favorite buddies. The world would be a great place if everybody was as nice as Tia!
