Lizzie's Graduation - June 11, 2009

Lizzie Graduated on June 11, 2009 from Lynbrook High School with a Grade Point Average of 4.0 - the perfect score. Congratulations and well done Lizzie. Everybody who knows you is very proud indeed of your achievements. Very well done.

And I thought she looked beautiful and radiant tonight. High School has been a real challenge for Lizzie - however she's worked very hard and triumphed. The summer break will be a vacation with her folks followed by a trip to her family in Australia. A well earned rest. Her education continues in Nursing at San Jose State University in August. More struggles and triumphs lie in the future.

Also graduating at the same time was her friend Siobahn. We were seated beside her folks Ken and Una and Uncle John. A proud night for all the parents. Penny and Andrew and the kids are a wonderful family and it was great to be able to share this milestone with them all.

Andrew and I cooperated on to make some artwork for Lizzie. This was to be exhibited somewhere in the school - the exact plan's a little bit of a mystery to me. Anyway, Andrew found a selection of photos of Lizzie taken over the years - from BC to AD as it were. BC = Black (& White) Camera and AD = Arrival of Digital. Andrew's best and most favorites are his wonderful stereo photos which cannot be reproduced on the web!

Congratulations to the Johnson family and to Lizzie in particular. It was a priviledge to share this special evening with you all.
