Nadia's visit to Silicon Valley

My open source buddy Nadia came from Dublin, Ireland to San Jose for the "Velocity Conference" in the Fairmont Hotel. Of course, I went to San Francisco airport on Sunday to meet and bring her to San Jose.

It was also Father's Day and I was invited to lunch at the Pojes - along with the Johnos. Jim and Sandy gave me a pot plant. How thoughtful! So I took a photo to show that it had survived the journey back to San Jose. The mortal danger for the plant continued until Ali returned from England on Tuesday and rescued it from my green hands of death.

Oh, the kilt? Well I thought it would help Nadia spot me at the airport. And it's Father's Day. If the woman can wear the trousers every day in California - then I can wear my skirt on Father's Day.

On Wednesday evening, Ali and Nadia and I went for a little walk, talk and ice-cream together. Simply a delightful evening. Come again Nadia, Ali and I really enjoyed your company.

Anyway thanks again Nadia for your company and I hope we'll see you back in California soon.

Nadia and I have been cooperating on a project call Phatch. I've been working on the GeoTagger. You'll notice that some of the photos on this page (and their larger images) have been stamped with an icon in the bottom left to say "This icon is GeoTagged". You can jump to Google Maps from the Image page. Software's fun - now I only need to make the icon "hot" and so on. The more you develop, the more ideas you discover.

By the way, to spot images which have been GeoTagged - look for the icon:
