South Rim of Grand Canyon

Grand Canyon 2010 (4 of 7) :

Jim and John and I had a fantastic trip to Grand Canyon National Park during John's Spring Break from college. We travelled by train - 23 hours and about 800 miles each way. Just great. Thanks guys for your company.

After our quite demanding walk on Sunday, we decided to take it easy and explore the South Rim. We walked about 4 miles west on the rim and got the shuttle bus back to Grand Canyon Village. After lunch, we used to car to drive 25 miles east to Desert View and visited most of the vista points on the way back.

Monday was full moon with the usual trouble with Werewolves and stuff. By sunset the temperature was too low for hanging about outdoors - so we didn't take photos of the moon rise over Grand Canyon. It was of course very light in the tent in the middle of the night.
