Family meetup in Oklahoma City

Vacation Fall 2011 (2 of 12) :

I can't believe I haven't seen my sister and her husband for more than 2 years. We visited them for the 250th Anniversary of the birth of Robert Burns in January 2009. Shortly after, Irene was very ill indeed and endured several weeks in the ICU with Pneumonia. I'm glad to say she recovered and is now good and well.

I'm also at a loss to say why this is the first time that we have had a vacation rendezvous. Ali and I are on a trip to OK, MO and KS to complete our visit to all 50 States. It was Labor Day weekend. Irene and Robert drove up from Houston Friday and met us at the airport when we arrived early Saturday afternoon. We spent Saturday and Sunday together and they headed home to on Monday. Ali and I set off on our Route 66 adventure.

For certain, we will not wait another 2.5 years to see them again. Perhaps New Year, or the Burns Supper in Houson in January. Sometime soon. That's a promise. Thanks for your awesome company. Lots of laughs.
