Mission Peak - June 6, 2012

It's rather odd that I have never been to Mission Peak. It's a 2500 peak on the East Hills above Fremont. I'm not a fan of the East Bay Hills. They are steep, high and have almost no tree cover. So I much prefer the Santa Cruz Mountain which are wooded.

Michelle invited me to join her and a couple of her co-workers. Sure - why not. We were joined at the start by Gerry and his dog Sky. Gerry's gonna run 40 miles with Michelle on Sunday. I didn't ask the dog what he thought about that. Along with way, we met and talked with George.

Thank you Maria and Michael for your company today. Michael found this walk rather challenging when he did it for the first time recently. Practice makes perfect - and today he climbed with little difficulty. For Maria, this was her first time and I know she'll feel very pleased with her success. Well done both of you, I look forward to exploring more trails together.
