Arriving In London

Olympics (1 of of 14 ):

I've come to England for the Games of the XXX Olympiad. It'll be great. The Nation is on show and everything (except the weather) has been fixed to make sure this is a terrific success.

I arrived to perfect weather. 27°C and not a cloud in the sky. London looked marvellous from the air. Many new buildings have been built in London during the 12 years that I've lived in the States. Obviously the new stadiums at Wembley, Chelsea and Highbury. From the starboard side of the aircraft I couldn't see the Olympic Park. Lots of tall buildings in the City of London. Notable new one are "The Gherkin" in the City and "The Shard" on the South Bank. London is an impressive city.

So I'm home to see the greatest show on earth. I'm a US Citizen and should cheer for my adopted country. Blood's thicker than water, so I'll be cheering for Team GB and rejoicing for Team USA. This is going to be 3 unique weeks.
