Grandkids

Olympics (2 of of 14 ):

We have 2 great grandkids - Holly and Liam. Holly will be 6 next month and Liam's almost 5. Holly is beautiful and very charming. Ali dotes on her. Liam is a delightful little guy. I haven't seen him for almost 2 years. When I got back, he came running over shouting "Helllloooo Graaaammmmpaaaaa" with his arms in the air wanting picked up. I picked him up, he kissed me and said "Do you remember me, Grampa?".

Ali goes to England 3 times every year for 5 or 6 weeks at a time. So the kids know her well. On this trip home for the Olympics, she went 1 week before me. So most of those photos were taken before I arrived.

There's a kids playground very close to our son Jamie's house. Ali and I like taking the kids to play in the park. And the kids usually get ice-cream. Well, what's the point of being Granny and Grampa if you don't indulge them?

There are also photos here from Ali's walk with neighbors Brian and Eileen. They went for a walk at Leith Hill in Surrey. This isn't just the highest point in the South of England, it's the highest point West of the Urals. It's 940 feet above sea-level. The tower brings the platform at the top of the tower to a little over 1000 feet. The rich man who commissioned the tower is buried in the tower!
