It is inadvisable to try to crew both Bolinas Ridge and Randall Trail. If the Bolinas-Fairfax Road is open:
If the Bolinas-Fairfax Road is closed or you choose to crew your runner at Randall instead of Bolinas Ridge:
If you reach Olema, you've gone too far. Be very careful as there may be hikers and horse trailers at this trailhead as well. Your runner may travel this section faster than you can drive the narrow winding road, especially if you're stuck behind a feed truck. |
The CourseOutward BoundBolinas Fairfax Road (28.4) to Randall Trail (35.6)Trail is a wide dirt road along Bolinas Ridge, rolling ups and downs. You will run out Bolinas Ridge Fire Road for 5.5 miles to the intersection of Randall Trail and the fire road. Turn Left down Randall (an old, rutted fire road) and run the switchbacks through the forest 1.7 miles to the bottom. Homeward BoundRandall Trail (35.6) to Bolinas Fairfax Road(42.8)Retrace your steps back up Randall Trail to Bolinas Ridge Fire Road. Turn Right onto the fire road back to the Bolinas Ridge Aid Station. |
