Photographs 2006
The outstanding event of 2006 was the birth of our first grandchild Holly Jessica Mills on August 21, 2006 in Camberley, Surrey, England. We visited her in September and also attended Neil and Natalie's wedding. Jamie and Adele visited us in San Jose in February. Ian and Margaret visited San Francisco and I had a very nice day out showing them San Francisco Bay and the Marin Headlands.
It was also a great year for travelling. We visited 12 new states and visited the Channel Island of Guernsey for the first time. We had an amazing summer vacatation in South and North Dakotas with our friends the Poje, Johnson and Hazelwood Families. We also enjoyed a trip to the East Coast to run in the Boston Marathon in April. Christmas was a trip to Arizona, the Grand Canyon and New Mexico.
The year finished on an special high. Ali attended Holly's baptism in England. I was honored by being awarded "Strider of the Year" by my run club Stevens Creek Striders.

I'm often asked about digital cameras. You know, they all seem quite fantastic to me! I think the form factor (size and weight) is very important. What do you want? Something light for your pocket? - get a little camera like the Sony. Something to take great photos - a Canon Digital SLR.

I've just purchased my 3rd Digital Camera. A Sony DSC-S600 6mega pixel device. I bought it because it's small and light and I can carry it in my pocket. And of course I can take it on runs and show you the amazing places I get to visit on the trails.
I purchased a Sony Cybershot DSC-S85 Digital Camera in March 2002 and I loved it. I liked the camera so much I decided to spend some money on a digital SLR and I purchased a Canon Rebel EOS Digital Rebel 6mb SLR in September 2003 - just fantastic!
Because I was so pleased with the earlier Sony, I decided to give them the business again.
I've had a lot of fun writing some desktop software to manage the photographs - including the web photo publisher used on this site.
